Don’t be confused, Crave is continuing for the time being

I thought it would be worth quickly addressing a possible confusion around the vision and strategy document that was released last week. You can read my blog post on it here and listen to our Senior Minister’s presentation on it here. The strategies are to be implemented in the period between July 2014 and December 2017 – not immediately. Some people may have thought that Crave was finished after the full document was released on June 8th. That is definitely NOT the case. The current document is a draft that is open for feedback until July 6th. Even if/when these changes get approved, Crave will continue for an important transition period. It’s highly likely that there will be a Crave event every week in term 3 and some events in term 4 as well. We will not rush these changes and do our best to work with the youth and their families to make the transition smoothly.

Just a reminder that I am very available to chat through any questions or concerns you might have about these proposed changes. Our definite preference is to receive this feedback through conversation, not in a written format. The reason for this is that conversation allows immediate clarification, questions two and fro and massively decreases the chance of someone being misunderstood or misinterpreted. That said, if you’d like to email me to arrange a time to catch up in person or over the phone then that would be great 🙂
