Crave: Grub Fest 2014

Messy Young People

This Friday we have the messiest of our events for the year – Grub Fest. It’s important that everyone wear clothes they are prepared to get proper dirty and some sort of old towel or garbage bag to protect the car seats. It’s important to note that our meal will be very orderly and eatable, only later will we be throwing food at each other 🙂 In my experience these nights can really build a young person’s confidence. It’s a bit risky to put your hand up to get “slimed” but often I’ve noticed quieter people step up and earn a lot of confidence from doing so.

The Event:

Date: 14th February

Venue: St Johns Church Diamond Creek

Cost: $5

Dinner: Provided

For Home:

This week we start a series on Identity. Our teaching will introduce people to the concept, get them to reflect on where they get their identity and encourage them to look to God as our primary source of value in our identity. Here’s some conversation starters you could chat about at home:

  • Who am I?
  • Who do I want to become?
  • What value do I have in God’s eyes, my own eyes, other people’s?
  • What am I going to do with my life?
