Crave: Living on a Prayer

Well we had a great start to term 2 last week and we’re hoping to continue the momentum this week as the weather gets a little bit chilly. Our topic will be prayer; a pretty fundamental one for Christians but also often misunderstood. We’ll try and demonstrate what the bible actually says prayer is and also bust a few myths we’ve heard that simply don’t match up. As usual there’ll be dinner and loads of fun thrown into the mix as well.

The Event:

  • April 26th
  • 6:15 -9pm at St. Johns
  • Cost: $5
  • Food: Dinner provided

For Home:

Every now and then I read a survey that suggests that pretty much everyone in the Aussie population has prayed at least once in their life. Whether they continued it as a regular habit or not is less clear. I’m not sure how much prayer goes on at your house but and whether it’s a public or private things. Whatever the case, you might like to talk about who prays, why they pray and how they pray. If you pray for you kids it might be a real encouragement for them to hear that and hear what sort of things you talk to God about on their behalf.

How is Camp Crave Shaping up?

Very well actually, thanks for asking 🙂 You can already register by visiting our youth group website. We’ll have flyers coming out soon as well as letters to your family and an official camp webpage. I’ll post details on this blog as soon as they become available.
